Sinopsis
En 1946, Jackie Robinson es un jugador de béisbol de la Liga Negra que nunca se queda callado ante el racismo. Branch Rickey es un ejecutivo de un equipo de la Liga Mayor con una idea audaz. Para lograrlo, Rickey recluta a Robinson para romper la línea de color no escrita como el primer jugador afroamericano de la Liga Mayor moderna.
Como ambos anticipan, esto resulta ser un gran desafío para Robinson y su familia, ya que soportan una hostilidad racista implacable dentro y fuera del campo, tanto de jugadores como de fanáticos.
