Sinopsis
En 1865, mientras la Guerra Civil Americana llega inexorablemente a su fin, el presidente de los Estados Unidos, Abraham Lincoln, se esfuerza por lograr la aprobación de la enmienda constitucional histórica que prohibirá para siempre la esclavitud en los Estados Unidos.
Sin embargo, su tarea es una carrera contra el tiempo, ya que la paz puede llegar en cualquier momento, y si llega antes de que se apruebe la enmienda, los estados sureños que regresan la detendrán antes de que pueda convertirse en ley.
