József A. Eszterhás (; Hungarian: [ˈjoːʒɛf ˈɛstɛrhaːʃ] born November 23, 1944) is a Hungarian-American writer. He attended Ohio University. He wrote the screenplays for the films Flashdance, Jagged Edge, Basic Instinct and Showgirls.
