Synopsis

The Portuguese Woman

In a small village in Portugal, a young woman named Maria struggles to find her place in a society that values tradition and conformity. Despite her family's expectations for her to marry and start a family, Maria dreams of exploring the world and pursuing her own passions.

One day, a handsome stranger arrives in the village and Maria is immediately drawn to him. As they spend more time together, Maria begins to question her own desires and the path she has always been told to follow.
