Synopsis

A Simple Life

In the heartwarming film A Simple Life, directed by Ann Hui, we follow the story of Ah Tao, a devoted servant who has worked for the Leung family for over 60 years. When Ah Tao suffers a stroke, she decides to retire and move into a nursing home. Roger, the youngest member of the Leung family, takes on the responsibility of caring for Ah Tao in her old age.

As Ah Tao adjusts to her new life in the nursing home, she reflects on her past and the relationships she has formed with the Leung family over the years.
