Synopsis

A Year Ago in Winter

In a small town in Germany, a young woman named Charlotte is struggling to come to terms with the sudden death of her boyfriend, Paul, in a car accident. As the one-year anniversary of his death approaches, Charlotte finds herself consumed by grief and unable to move on.

One day, Charlotte meets Max, a photographer who is in town to work on a project. Max is drawn to Charlotte's sadness and offers to take her portrait. As they spend time together, Charlotte begins to open up to Max and slowly starts to heal.

Through their budding friendship, Charlotte learns to let go of her guilt and sorrow, and finds the strength to move forward with her life. As the seasons change and winter turns to spring, Charlotte realizes that she is finally ready to say goodbye to the past and embrace the future.
