Synopsis

American Ultra is a 2015 action comedy film directed by Nima Nourizadeh. The movie follows the story of Mike Howell, a stoner who lives in a small town with his girlfriend Phoebe. Unbeknownst to Mike, he is actually a sleeper agent who was programmed by the government as part of a secret program called "Wiseman".

One day, Mike's programming is reactivated by a rogue CIA agent, Victoria Lasseter, who wants to eliminate all the agents in the "Wiseman" program. As a result, Mike's skills as a lethal killing machine are unleashed, and he must fight to survive and protect Phoebe from the government agents who are hunting him down.

The film features intense action sequences, dark humor, and a unique blend of genres that sets it apart from traditional action movies. With a talented cast including Jesse Eisenberg, Kristen Stewart, and Topher Grace, American Ultra is a thrilling and entertaining ride from start to finish.
