Synopsis

Lucía and Roberto are an engaged couple who have just moved into a curious building. There they find some peculiar neighbors: Vicenta and Marisa, two retired sisters who are very concerned about the lives of their neighbors; Mauri and Fernando, a gay couple who, because of Fernando's prejudices, want to pretend to be friends, although they end up publicly announcing their love affair; the couple formed by Juan Cuesta, president of the community, and Paloma, with their two children Natalia and José Miguel; Doña Concha, a retired woman who lives with Armando, her forty-something son recently divorced and eager to make up for lost time; two young, single girls eager to find a boyfriend, Belén and Alicia, who are called "las golfas", while Belén has affairs and back-and-forth with Emilio, a very particular doorman, Alicia says she is interested in Fernando. In the video store next to the building, Paco works as the only employee. This successful sitcom narrates the life of a peculiar community of neighbors in the street "Desengaño 21": three floors, two apartments per floor, a doorman and an adjoining premises house the motley neighbors of this sitcom whose main feature was its agile scripts and its distinguishable characters: the president of the community, his ambitious wife, the gossipy neighbors, the gay neighbors, the long-suffering doorman, etc. Antena 3 did not expect it to be successful; however, in a few weeks, the series produced by José Luis Moreno reached an unsuspected audience and became one of the star series of television.
