Arranged is a film that tells the story of two young women, Rochel and Nasira, who are both teachers at a public school in Brooklyn. Despite coming from different cultural backgrounds - Rochel is an Orthodox Jew and Nasira is a Muslim - the two women form a strong bond based on their shared values and experiences.
As they navigate the challenges of their personal and professional lives, Rochel and Nasira face pressure from their families to enter into arranged marriages. While Rochel's family is supportive of her decision to find love on her own terms, Nasira's family is more traditional and insists that she marry a man chosen for her.
Throughout the film, Rochel and Nasira support each other as they struggle to balance their cultural traditions with their desire for independence and autonomy. Despite the obstacles they face, the two women find strength in their friendship and ultimately learn to embrace their differences.
