Synopsis

Basic tells the story of Tom Hardy, an ex-Army Ranger turned DEA agent, who is pulled into a mysterious case involving the disappearance of Sgt. Nathan West and his elite Special Forces trainees during a training exercise in Panama.

Only two survivors are found, Dunbar and Kendall, the son of a high-profile official. Both are uncooperative with Capt. Julia Osborne's investigation, leading base commander Col. Bill Styles to bring in Hardy to help.

Osborne disapproves of Hardy, who is on leave from the DEA under suspicion of bribery. Despite their differences, Hardy and Osborne team up to uncover the truth behind the missing Rangers and West's fate.

As they dig deeper, they unravel a web of lies and deception, inching closer to the horrifying truth about what really happened in the jungle.
