Synopsis

Beans, Rice and Potatoes

Once upon a time in a small village, there lived a poor farmer named John. He had a small piece of land where he grew beans, rice, and potatoes to feed his family.

One year, a terrible drought hit the village and John's crops began to wither away. He was worried about how he would feed his family through the harsh winter months.

One day, a wealthy merchant passed through the village and saw John's struggling crops. He took pity on the farmer and offered to buy all of his beans, rice, and potatoes at a good price.

John was overjoyed and accepted the merchant's offer. With the money he earned, he was able to buy enough food to last his family through the winter.

Thanks to the merchant's kindness, John and his family were able to survive the drought and live happily ever after.
