Synopsis

Biutiful is a 2010 Spanish drama film directed by Alejandro González Iñárritu. The film follows Uxbal, a man living in Barcelona who is struggling to make ends meet while dealing with his own mortality.

Uxbal is a father of two young children and also works as a middleman between illegal immigrants and sweatshop owners. He has a terminal illness and is trying to secure a future for his children before he dies.

As Uxbal navigates his complicated life, he grapples with his own moral dilemmas and tries to find redemption for his past mistakes. The film explores themes of family, love, and the human condition.

Biutiful received critical acclaim for its powerful performances, particularly from Javier Bardem who plays Uxbal. The film was nominated for two Academy Awards and won the Best Actor award at the Cannes Film Festival.
