Synopsis

Black-ish is a comedy series that follows the Johnson family, an upper-middle-class African-American family living in a predominantly white neighborhood. The show explores issues of race, identity, and culture as the parents, Dre and Rainbow, navigate raising their children in a society that often stereotypes and marginalizes black people.

As Dre struggles to balance his desire to give his children a sense of their cultural heritage with the pressures of assimilation, he often finds himself at odds with his more privileged colleagues and friends.
