At Howard Fileman's house, which is up for sale, real estate agent Katie Selnick and two prospective buyers discover a corpse, charred except for one big foot. Clever forensics gradually show that they were actually two people, a fat man and PricoCo saleswoman Meg Tracy, who recently lost half of her excess weight and met her lover at a fetish club. However, Seely is distracted collecting by surprise visits from 'pops' Hank Booth, who left his retirement home after beating up a nurse and is now trying to 'fix' Booth's life, but has lost control of his own.
