Synopsis

Breathless, two parts Beau Gest, one part Mad Men plus maybe a pinch of heart beat. This quintessential English tale is here, retold in the guise of the sixties. Whereas the original story features the French foreign legion that same path run deep through this series. Not by any means original or perfect. Jack Davenport shines perhaps out of all the performers. Transforming his much earlier sitcom days in serious tongue in cheek acting. One can't help but think that "Jane" will start playing and women will lose their in the door of a Gestapo vehicle. Part psycho drama, sixties soap and tragic comedy. I'd give this 8 our of 10 as it's great, but far from perfect.

1/10

The music often felt disconnected from the scenes, failing to enhance the emotional impact or add depth to the storytelling. It lacked the subtlety and nuance that a truly memorable soundtrack should bring to a series like this.

Michael Garcia
5/10

The soundtrack of Breathless is a nostalgic blend of 60s vibes and dramatic storytelling. It captures the essence of the era with a mix of Beau Gest and Mad Men influences, sprinkled with a touch of heartbeat for added intensity.

Lisa Johnson
5/10

Overall, the soundtrack of Breathless is a solid mix of psycho drama, 60s soap, and tragic comedy. While not flawless, it complements the series well and enhances the viewing experience. I would rate it an 8 out of 10 for its effectiveness in setting the mood, even though it's not without its imperfections.

Laura Brown
2/10

Despite Jack Davenport's standout performance, the music did little to elevate the overall viewing experience. It felt like a missed opportunity to create a more immersive and engaging atmosphere for the audience.

Melissa Young
5/10

Jack Davenport's performance shines through, bringing a new level of sophistication to the music with his serious yet tongue-in-cheek acting. His presence elevates the soundtrack, making it a memorable aspect of the show.

Joseph Moore
4/10

I found the soundtrack of Breathless to be a bit underwhelming. While it attempted to capture the essence of the sixties, it felt like a generic mix of retro tunes rather than a cohesive and original composition.

Kenneth Lewis
6/10

The music sets the tone for this quintessential English tale, adding depth and emotion to the narrative. While not groundbreaking, the soundtrack does a commendable job of immersing the audience in the world of the series.
