Synopsis

White Hunter Black Heart is a 1990 American film directed by and starring Clint Eastwood. The movie is based on the 1953 book of the same name by Peter Viertel, which is a fictionalized account of Viertel's experiences working with John Huston on the film The African Queen.

The story follows a famous Hollywood director named John Wilson, played by Eastwood, who becomes obsessed with hunting an elephant while on location in Africa to shoot a film. Wilson's single-minded determination to kill the elephant puts him at odds with his crew and leads to a moral dilemma that tests his character.

Throughout the film, Wilson's behavior becomes increasingly erratic as he becomes consumed by his desire to hunt the elephant. His actions raise questions about the nature of obsession, the ethics of big-game hunting, and the price of fame.

White Hunter Black Heart is a thought-provoking exploration of the darker side of human nature and the consequences of unchecked ambition. Clint Eastwood's performance as John Wilson is both captivating and unsettling, making the film a must-see for fans of his work.
