Chef tells the story of Carl Casper, an acclaimed chef whose family life is deteriorating along with his artistic freedom.
His frustrations reach a breaking point when he publicly confronts a restaurant critic in a viral video, after being forced to cook food against his instincts by his boss.
With his career in ruins, Carl's ex-wife suggests a unique solution in Miami: refurbish an old food truck to cook quality food on his own terms.
Joined by his son Percy and old colleague Martin, Carl embarks on a cross-country trip to rediscover his passion for cooking.
Utilizing Percy's tech skills and Martin's enthusiasm, Carl turns the food truck into a sensation, reconnecting with his family and finding fulfillment in a new way.
