Synopsis

Chimerica is a gripping political thriller that follows the story of a photojournalist named Joe, who becomes obsessed with finding the mysterious "Tank Man" from the iconic Tiananmen Square photo. As Joe delves deeper into his investigation, he uncovers a web of deceit and corruption that leads him to question everything he thought he knew about China and the United States.

The play explores themes of truth, identity, and the power of images in shaping our understanding of the world. As Joe's search for the truth becomes more dangerous, he must confront his own biases and confront the harsh realities of the world he thought he knew.

Chimerica is a thought-provoking and timely exploration of the complex relationship between East and West, and the ways in which our perceptions of each other are shaped by politics, media, and personal experiences. The play challenges audiences to question their own beliefs and consider the impact of their actions on a global scale.
