Cold War is a Polish film directed by Paweł Pawlikowski. It tells the story of a passionate love affair between two people of different backgrounds and temperaments who are fatefully mismatched and yet condemned to each other.
The film is set in the 1950s in Poland, Berlin, Yugoslavia, and Paris. It follows the couple's love story over the span of 15 years, capturing their ups and downs, separations and reunions, against the backdrop of the Cold War era.
