Synopsis

Concussion is a 2015 American biographical sports drama film directed and written by Peter Landesman. The film is based on the true story of Dr. Bennet Omalu, a forensic pathologist who fought against the National Football League (NFL) to bring awareness to the dangers of repeated head trauma in football players.

The story follows Dr. Omalu, played by Will Smith, as he discovers a degenerative brain disease called chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE) in the brains of deceased NFL players. Despite facing backlash and threats from the NFL, Dr. Omalu continues his research and advocacy to protect the players and their families.

Concussion sheds light on the controversial issue of head injuries in professional football and the impact it has on the lives of athletes. The film highlights the importance of standing up for what is right, even in the face of powerful opposition.
