Synopsis

Cruel Intentions 2 is a prequel to the 1999 film *Cruel Intentions*. The story follows Sebastian Valmont, a wealthy and manipulative teenager who attends an elite prep school in New York City. Sebastian's step-sister, Kathryn Merteuil, is also a student at the school and the two engage in a dangerous game of seduction and betrayal.

**Sebastian sets his sights on Annette Hargrove, a virtuous and innocent girl who is new to the school. He makes a bet with Kathryn that he can seduce Annette and ruin her reputation. As Sebastian gets closer to Annette, he begins to develop real feelings for her, causing him to question his motives and his relationship with Kathryn.

**As the stakes get higher and the lies become more tangled, Sebastian and Kathryn's twisted game threatens to destroy everything around them. Will Sebastian be able to break free from Kathryn's control and find true love, or will he be consumed by his own cruelty?
