Dangerous Minds is a 1995 American drama film directed by John N. Smith, based on the autobiography "My Posse Don't Do Homework" by LouAnne Johnson. The film stars Michelle Pfeiffer as LouAnne Johnson, a former U.S. Marine who becomes a high school teacher in an inner-city school.

The story follows LouAnne as she struggles to connect with her students, who are all from troubled backgrounds and have little interest in education. Dangerous Minds explores themes of race, class, and education, and highlights the importance of empathy, understanding, and perseverance in overcoming obstacles. The film received mixed reviews from critics but was a commercial success, grossing over $179 million worldwide.

Additionally, I felt that the songs in the soundtrack were too distracting and overpowering at times, taking away from the dialogue and the emotional impact of the film. The music seemed to be inserted without much thought or consideration for how it would complement the story being told, resulting in a disjointed and jarring experience.
