Synopsis

"Smrt krásných srncu" is a novel written by Czech author Josef Škvorecký. The story is set in a small Czech town during the German occupation of World War II. The main character, Danny Smiřický, is a young boy who becomes involved in the resistance movement against the Nazis. As the war progresses, Danny witnesses the brutality of the occupation and the sacrifices made by those fighting for freedom.
