Synopsis

"Densha Otoko" is a Japanese drama based on a true story about a young man named Tsuyoshi Yamada, who is an otaku (a person with obsessive interests, particularly in anime and manga). One day, while riding a train, he saves a woman from a drunk man harassing her. Grateful for his help, the woman sends him a set of Hermès teacups as a thank you gift. Tsuyoshi seeks advice from an online forum on how to properly thank the woman, who he refers to as "Hermès." With the help of the forum members, Tsuyoshi gains confidence and begins to pursue a relationship with Hermès. The story follows Tsuyoshi's transformation from a shy otaku to a confident young man as he navigates the complexities of dating and relationships."
