Synopsis

Summer vacation is supposed to be a lot of fun and a great time-unless of course, you're Greg Heffley. Greg finds his satisfaction for summer elsewhere-inside an air-conditioned house playing video games. The only obstacle in his way is his father, who insists on Greg spending his summer like a normal kid, playing outside and doing something manly. But Greg is not built to spend the summer with the outside world, especially after a few incidents with his family and best friend, Rowley.

So after this time, Greg does everything he can to impress his father not only to be a good son, but to avoid military school, leading to crazy and sometimes dangerous accidents.

The upbeat and energetic tracks in the soundtrack make the audience feel like they are right there with Greg as he embarks on his hilarious escapades during the summer break.

Melissa Phillips
7/10

The soundtrack effectively conveys the tension between Greg's desire to stay indoors and play video games, and his father's expectations for him to be more active and outdoorsy.

Richard Hall
2/10

I found the music in the film to be distracting and intrusive at times. Instead of enhancing the scenes or adding emotional depth, the soundtrack often felt overbearing and overshadowed the dialogue and actions on screen.

Donald Nelson
4/10

The choice of songs in the soundtrack did not seem to match the tone or themes of the movie. The music felt out of place and disconnected from the story, which ultimately took away from the overall viewing experience.

Matthew Brown
7/10

The soundtrack features catchy tunes that perfectly complement the lighthearted and fun tone of the film, making it a joy to listen to even outside of watching the movie.

Matthew Wilson

The use of different musical styles and instruments in the soundtrack helps to highlight the various moods and emotions experienced by the characters throughout the movie.

Kenneth Rodriguez

The music enhances the comedic moments in the film, adding an extra layer of humor to Greg's attempts to navigate through his summer vacation.
