Synopsis

Evangelion: 1.0 You Are (Not) Alone is a Japanese animated science fiction film directed by Hideaki Anno. It is a remake of the original 1995 Neon Genesis Evangelion television series. The film follows the story of Shinji Ikari, a teenage boy who is recruited by the organization NERV to pilot a giant bio-machine called an Evangelion to protect Earth from mysterious beings known as Angels.

As Shinji struggles with his own insecurities and the pressure of being a pilot, he forms relationships with his fellow pilots Rei Ayanami and Asuka Langley Soryu. Together, they must battle the Angels and uncover the secrets of NERV and the true nature of the Evangelions.
