Faces Places is a documentary film that follows Agnes Varda, a prominent figure in the French New Wave cinema era, and J.R., a professional photographer and muralist, as they embark on a unique art project.
Together, they travel across France in a special box truck that doubles as a portable photo booth and printing facility, capturing images of people they encounter along the way.
Using these photographs as inspiration, they create colossal mural pictures of individuals, communities, and places that hold special significance to them.
Throughout their journey, the veteran filmmaker and the young artist form an unlikely friendship, engaging in conversations and exploring their perspectives on the world in their own unique way.
