Florence Foster Jenkins is a biographical comedy-drama film directed by Stephen Frears. The film tells the story of Florence Foster Jenkins, a wealthy socialite in New York City who aspires to become an opera singer despite having a terrible singing voice.
Florence is supported in her pursuit by her husband, St. Clair Bayfield, and her pianist, Cosmé McMoon. Despite her lack of talent, Florence manages to secure a performance at Carnegie Hall, where her singing is met with mixed reviews.
As Florence prepares for her big night, she must confront the reality of her own limitations and the true motivations of those around her. The film explores themes of ambition, delusion, and the power of art to transcend its flaws.
