Friends with Money is a movie about four women friends: three are wealthy and married, while the fourth, Olivia, is a former teacher who now works as a maid.
The marriages of the wealthy friends are in different states: Franny and Matt are happy and very rich, Christine and David write screenplays together and argue, and Jane is always angry while her husband Aaron seems gay.
Franny sets up Olivia with her friend Mike, a personal trainer, and Olivia takes him to her housecleaning jobs. The story also involves a benefit dinner for ALS, an awkward guy named Marty, and a French maid's outfit.
The movie explores the question: Is there more to life than its problems?
