Synopsis

Ghost in the Shell: Arise - Border 3: Ghost Tears follows the story set in 2027, one year after the end of the fourth non-nuclear war. New Port City is still recovering from the war's aftermath when it faces a bombing caused by a self-propelled mine.

During the chaos, a military member involved in arms-dealing bribes is assassinated. Public Security Section's Daisuke Aramaki teams up with Motoko Kusanagi, a cyborg hacker from the military's 501st Secret Unit, to investigate the incidents.

Batou, known for his "eye that does not sleep," suspects Kusanagi's involvement in the bombing. Meanwhile, Niihama Prefectural Police detective Togusa is working on his own cases involving a shooting death and a prostitute's murder.

Kusanagi finds herself under surveillance by the 501st Secret Unit's leader Kurutsu and their cyborg agents, adding to the tension and mystery surrounding the events unfolding in Ghost in the Shell: Arise - Border 3: Ghost Tears.
