Golden Eighties is a story about three young women at a hair salon who all have a crush on Robby, the son of the clothing store proprietors across the mall. Despite Robby being selfish and shallow, he manages to appeal to Lili, the trendy salon manager and owner's moll; Mado, the innocent and sweet girl; and Pascale, the intelligent but passive and downcast woman.
Robby's dad advises him to mature and look beyond the mercurial Lili, leading him to suddenly propose to Mado. She is thrilled, but on the eve of the wedding, Lili returns to catch Robby's eye once again. Meanwhile, a Yank who was a soldier in France during World War II returns to Paris in an attempt to rekindle the love he once shared with Robby's mother.
