Synopsis

Golden Kamuy is a story set in the early twentieth century, following Russo-Japanese War veteran Sugimoto "Immortal" Saichi as he struggles to survive during the postwar gold rush in Hokkaido.

One day, Sugimoto discovers a map leading to a hidden fortune in Ainu gold, sparking a dangerous quest to find it. However, he soon realizes that he is not the only one after the gold, and everyone willing to kill to possess it.

Facing harsh conditions, ruthless criminals, and rogue Japanese soldiers in the northern wilderness, Sugimoto must rely on his skills, luck, and the help of an Ainu girl named Asirpa to survive.
