"Grange Hill" Episode #10.12 Soundtrack (1987)
Synopsis
The barge trip continues. Stowaway Ant Jones finds his plans a little upset by the fact that the barge is no longer attached to the shore. Ziggy's group find themselves in a field of sheep, hungry with no tin opener. The girls tow the barge back to the shore, and Ant has no opportunity to escape undetected. The guys are annoyed to find "their girls" being chatted up by some local lads - and strongly suspect they they were the ones who untied their barge in the night. Further conflict is delayed when Fred is spotted, covered head to foot in mud. Later though, the locals come back, and Grange Hill are heavily outnumbered. Ziggy falls out of a tree, and dislocates a finger. The nightlife seems a bit wanting, until Mr. Scott tells the group that he spotted a local disco. He also proposes a sing-song, but Freddy is unimpressed and goes to make himself a hot drink. After a bit of messing about with Julie, the hot drink gets forgotten, Fred goes to sleep - but the gas is still on... As the sing-song continues, Ant Jones bursts in, and saves the day, at the expense of revealing his presence. With all the change of clothes Freddy's needed, he's down to an Arun sweater and jeans. The disco proves to be a childish affair, with all the local kids from the earlier tussle.
