The use of subtle instruments and evocative compositions in the soundtrack effectively conveys the themes of morality, social class, and the American Dream explored in the novel. The music not only enhances the dramatic tension of the story but also adds layers of depth and nuance to the characters' motivations and conflicts.

Another criticism I have is that the soundtrack failed to enhance the storytelling or evoke the atmospheric setting of a small New England town. The music felt generic and uninspired, missing an opportunity to add layers of meaning and emotion to the narrative.
