Synopsis

Haute Cuisine is a French film that tells the story of Hortense Laborie, a renowned chef from Perigord who is chosen to work as the personal cook for the President of France. As she prepares exquisite dishes for the President and his guests, she faces challenges and obstacles in the male-dominated world of French haute cuisine.

Despite the pressures and criticisms she faces, Hortense remains true to her culinary talents and gains the respect of the President with her delicious and innovative dishes. However, her success also leads to jealousy and resentment from the other chefs in the kitchen.

As Hortense navigates the politics and egos of the kitchen, she must also confront her own personal demons and past traumas. Through her dedication to her craft and her unwavering passion for cooking, Hortense proves that she is a force to be reckoned with in the world of haute cuisine.
