The use of repetitive and cliché musical motifs in the film's soundtrack detracted from the authenticity of the characters' experiences. The music failed to capture the raw emotions and complexities of the family's journey through poverty, making it difficult to fully immerse in the story.

The soundtrack of Hidden in America felt disconnected from the emotional depth of the story. Instead of enhancing the scenes and evoking the struggles of the Januson family, the music often felt generic and uninspired.

The uplifting and empowering tunes during moments of unity and love among the Januson family serve as a reminder of the strength that can be found in the face of adversity. The soundtrack of Hidden in America missed an opportunity to elevate the film's impact by incorporating more diverse and innovative musical elements. It lacked originality and failed to bring a unique perspective to the narrative, leaving a sense of missed potential in enhancing the overall viewing experience.

The soundtrack of Hidden in America effectively captures the emotional turmoil and struggles faced by the Januson family. The somber and melancholic melodies evoke a sense of despair and hopelessness, mirroring the family's uphill battle against poverty and illness.
