Synopsis

High Crimes is a legal thriller novel written by Joseph Finder. The story follows Claire Heller Chapman, a successful attorney who discovers that her husband Tom is not who he claims to be. Tom is arrested by the FBI and accused of war crimes committed in a military operation in El Salvador years ago.

Claire is determined to prove her husband's innocence and enlists the help of Charles Grimes, a former military lawyer who is now a drunk living on the streets. Together, they uncover a conspiracy involving high-ranking officials in the military and government who will stop at nothing to keep the truth hidden.

As Claire delves deeper into the case, she puts her own life in danger and must confront her own past to uncover the truth. With twists and turns at every corner, High Crimes is a gripping tale of betrayal, redemption, and the lengths one will go to protect their loved ones.
