Synopsis

Honeysuckle Rose is a 1980 American romantic drama film directed by Jerry Schatzberg. The film stars Willie Nelson as Buck Bonham, a country music singer who struggles with the temptations of life on the road.

Buck Bonham is a married man with a family, but he finds himself drawn to the lifestyle of a touring musician. As he travels from town to town, he is tempted by drugs, alcohol, and the attention of adoring fans.

Things become even more complicated when Buck's old flame, Lily Ramsey (played by Amy Irving), re-enters his life. Lily is also a musician, and the two share a deep connection that threatens Buck's marriage and his career.
