The film follows a season for the Hope Lions, a children's soccer team from a notorious lower-class neighborhood of Tel Aviv. Their parents and the coach push them to become professional players, as the regular education system has failed them miserably. The coach sees himself as their educator, but struggles with the idea of allowing the luckiest and most intelligent kids to make the team. He wonders about a society that places more emphasis on the sports profession than on education. He hasn't yet wondered if girls should also be allowed on the team.
