Synopsis

Hotarou Oreki recently got admitted into Kamiyama High School. He is a teenage boy with full of potential, yet a bit conservative one. He prefers to be on energy saving mode aka 'lazy'. He joins the school's Classic Literature Club on his elder sister's request. There he meets Chitanda Eru a girl totally his opposite cheerful and full of curiosity along with his two other friends Satoshi Fukube and Mayaka Ibara.

Introvert and reserved Oreki can not help but ends up doing everything Chitanda asks him to do and always trys to make things convincing to her. The four friends digs up the past of the school's 33 years old history and the secret of the 'Hyouka' anthology which is linked with the disappearance of Chitanda's uncle.
