"I Dreamed of Africa" is a story about Kuki, a divorced Italian socialite, who undergoes a life-changing experience after a serious car crash.
She decides to accept a marriage proposal from Paolo Gallmann, a man she doesn't know well, and together with her young son, they move to Kenya to start a cattle ranch.
Challenges arise for Kuki, including Paolo's love for danger and his frequent absences to hunt and fish with friends.
She must confront fierce storms, dangerous wildlife like lions and snakes, and even murderous poachers, while also trying to establish a relationship with a neighboring tribe.
Despite her mother's pleas to return home, Kuki must navigate through these obstacles and fulfill her dream of living in Africa, taming Paolo, guiding her son through the perils of youth, and serving the land she now calls home.
