Synopsis

In the Cut is a psychological thriller film directed by Jane Campion. The story follows Frannie, a writing professor in New York City who becomes entangled in a murder investigation after witnessing a gruesome crime. As she gets closer to the detective working on the case, Frannie finds herself drawn into a dangerous and seductive world.

Starring Meg Ryan as Frannie, the film explores themes of desire, obsession, and trust. Frannie must navigate the murky waters of her own desires while trying to uncover the truth behind the murder. As the tension builds, Frannie must confront her own fears and insecurities in order to survive.

In the Cut is a gripping and intense thriller that will keep viewers on the edge of their seats until the very end. With its complex characters and dark atmosphere, the film is a haunting exploration of the human psyche and the lengths we will go to in order to protect ourselves.
