Synopsis

In the Face of Crime is a 10 part multi-layered, rich and fast paced TV series that follows the stories of characters in and around the Russian mafia in Berlin.

The series focuses on the 2 main characters, Marek and Jelena. Marek, a cop of Russian descent, is on a mission to find the murderer of his brother. Jelena, on the other hand, finds herself lured to Germany with her best friend under the false promise of work, only to end up as a prostitute.

Both characters get entangled in a power struggle within the mafia, facing challenges such as police corruption and human trafficking.

The series explores the complexity of crime syndicates and society in Berlin, showcasing the quest for happiness and the different choices people make.

This German series stands out not only for its excellent and complex storytelling, but also for its high quality production and exceptional cast, comparable to HBO or BBC productions.
