In the Loop is a political satire film that follows the US President and UK Prime Minister as they push for war, despite opposition from some key figures. US General Miller and British Secretary of State for International Development, Simon Foster, are against the war.
However, when Simon accidentally expresses support for military action on TV, he gains unexpected popularity in Washington, DC. With the help of his entourage and some strategic alliances, they aim to prevent the war by stopping the Prime Minister's chief spin-doctor Malcolm Tucker from manipulating the UN vote.
If they fail, they may have to resort to firing their Director of Communications Judy, who they never really liked anyway. Meanwhile, Judy is back home dealing with disgruntled voters and household issues.
