Synopsis

In 1968, with her otherwise brilliant career of soaring highs and plummeting lows taking a gradual descent since her golden era at Louis B. Mayer's Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios, the universally loved American actress, singer and dancer, Judy Garland, finds herself with her back to the wall.

As a result, nearly three long decades after her iconic role as "Dorothy" in The Wizard of Oz (1939), the exhausted and struggling single mum, Judy Garland, tentatively accepts the invitation of the London impresario, Bernard Delfont, to perform a five-week-long series of concerts at the Talk of the Town nightclub.

However, there, amid adoring followers and cynical critics, dangerous long-standing habits push the beloved performer to her breaking point, threatening her chance for success. Will Judy be able to overcome the demons of the past? Is there a magical land somewhere over the rainbow?
