Synopsis

Kano is a Japanese film that tells the story of a young boy named Kanō Jigorō who, after losing his father at a young age, is taken in by a temple in the late 19th century. There, he learns the art of jujutsu and eventually goes on to create his own martial art, Judo.

The film follows Kanō as he faces challenges and obstacles in his quest to spread the practice of Judo throughout Japan and the world. Along the way, he encounters opposition from traditional martial arts schools and government officials who see Judo as a threat.
