Synopsis

Kotoko is a Japanese psychological thriller film directed by Shinya Tsukamoto. The story follows a young woman named Kotoko who suffers from a mental illness that causes her to hallucinate and lose touch with reality. She struggles to differentiate between what is real and what is not, leading to a series of disturbing and violent events.

As Kotoko's condition worsens, she becomes increasingly isolated and paranoid, unable to trust anyone around her. Her only solace comes from her young son, whom she is fiercely protective of. However, her illness threatens to tear their fragile bond apart.
