Synopsis

Lamb is a novel by Bonnie Nadzam that tells the story of David Lamb, a middle-aged man who is going through a midlife crisis. Feeling disconnected from his own life, David decides to take a road trip to clear his mind. Along the way, he meets an eleven-year-old girl named Tommie who is neglected by her parents and looking for an escape. David sees an opportunity to rescue Tommie from her unhappy home life and takes her under his wing. As their relationship develops, David and Tommie form a bond that blurs the lines between friendship and something more. The novel explores themes of loneliness, redemption, and the complexities of human relationships.
