Synopsis

Last Resort

500 feet beneath the ocean's surface, the U.S. ballistic missile submarine Colorado receive their orders. Over a radio channel, designed only to be used if their homeland has been wiped out, they're told to fire nuclear weapons at Pakistan. Captain Marcus Chaplin demands confirmation of the orders only to be unceremoniously relieved of duty by the White House. XO Sam Kendal finds himself suddenly in charge of the submarine and facing the same difficult decision.

When he also refuses to fire without confirmation of the orders, the Colorado is targeted, fired upon, and hit. The submarine and its crew find themselves crippled on the ocean floor, declared rogue enemies of their own country. Now, with nowhere left to turn, Chaplin and Kendal take the sub on the run and bring the men and women of the Colorado to an exotic island. Here they will find refuge, romance and a chance at a new life, even as they try to clear their names and get home.

User reviews

Melissa Martinez
8/10

The hauntingly beautiful melodies in the Last Resort soundtrack perfectly capture the tension and drama of the submarine's underwater adventure.

Charles Roberts
6/10

The soundtrack of Last Resort effectively captures the tension and suspense of the underwater setting, with deep, ominous tones and dramatic orchestral arrangements. The music enhances the sense of danger and uncertainty faced by the characters, adding depth to the storyline and keeping the viewer engaged.

William Moore
6/10

On the other hand, at times the soundtrack feels repetitive and overly dramatic, bordering on cliché. While it effectively builds tension in key moments, some tracks lack originality and can feel predictable. A greater variety in musical styles and themes could have added more dimension to the overall listening experience.

Karen Nelson
1/10

Overall, the music in Last Resort did not effectively complement the gripping narrative and failed to leave a lasting impression on me as a viewer.

Laura Evans
8/10

The Last Resort soundtrack effectively enhances the show's themes of loyalty, betrayal, and redemption, elevating the overall narrative to new heights.

Laura Adams
7/10

The emotional depth of the music in Last Resort resonates with the characters' inner struggles and dilemmas, creating a powerful connection with the audience.

Patricia Robinson
7/10

The use of orchestral arrangements in the soundtrack adds a sense of grandeur and epic scale to the story, enhancing the overall viewing experience.

Elizabeth Green
8/10

Overall, the Last Resort soundtrack is a masterful blend of symphonic beauty and emotional depth, making it a standout feature of the series that enhances the viewing experience.

The musical themes in Last Resort are distinct and memorable, adding a layer of richness to the storytelling and character development.

Nancy Anderson
7/10

The soundtrack effectively builds suspense and excitement during key moments of the series, keeping viewers on the edge of their seats.

William Lewis
7/10

The use of subtle electronic elements in the music adds a modern touch to the overall traditional orchestral score, creating a unique and engaging sound.

Ashley Thompson
7/10

The soundtrack's ability to shift seamlessly between intense action sequences and quiet, reflective moments showcases its versatility and skillful composition.

James Thomas
1/10

Furthermore, the repetitive use of generic action movie music clichés became distracting and took away from the overall viewing experience. It felt like the soundtrack was an afterthought, rather than a crucial element in enhancing the tension and drama of the series.

Amanda Jones
4/10

The soundtrack of Last Resort felt uninspired and lacked emotional depth. The music failed to capture the intensity and suspense of the submarine's desperate situation, making key moments feel flat and unengaging.

Deborah Lewis
7/10

The soundtrack's ability to evoke a wide range of emotions, from fear and uncertainty to hope and determination, demonstrates its depth and complexity.
