Synopsis

Thomas, Newt, and Frypan are the last of the free "Gladers" immune to the Flare virus that has ravaged the world's population. They and The Right Arm resistance conduct a rescue operation where they retrieve other Immunes from a train, which is owned by WCKD, an organization responsible for capturing and experimenting on immune children.

They discover that Minho, their remaining Glader friend whom WCKD had captured, was not on that train, which is headed to "The Last City", WCKD's base of operations. Against the orders of Vince, leader of The Right Arm, the three leave their camp to rescue Minho, who is being tortured by WCKD in hopes of developing a cure for the virus.

Heading for the Last City, the group is attacked by Cranks, humans infected with the Flare. However, they are saved by Jorge and Brenda, who join them.

User reviews

Donald Garcia
5/10

The use of dynamic and intense orchestral arrangements in the soundtrack mirrors the relentless pursuit of the characters as they navigate through dangerous territory and face daunting challenges. The music effectively conveys the high stakes and sense of urgency that drive the narrative forward.

Donna Hill
8/10

The score effectively conveys the dystopian and post-apocalyptic setting of the movie, immersing the audience in the bleak and dangerous world where the characters are fighting against WCKD and the Flare virus.

Karen Lewis
7/10

The music enhances the emotional depth of the film, especially during the scenes where Thomas, Newt, and Frypan are faced with difficult decisions and challenges in their mission to save Minho.

Karen Nelson
3/10

The music in the movie felt repetitive and uninspired, failing to create a unique atmosphere or enhance the viewing experience. The lack of variety in the soundtrack made key moments in the plot feel lackluster and unmemorable.

Paul Robinson
6/10

The emotional depth of the score shines through in moments of sacrifice and loyalty between the characters, particularly in scenes where Thomas, Newt, and Frypan demonstrate unwavering determination to save their friend despite the odds stacked against them. The music adds a layer of poignancy to these heartfelt moments.

Robert Lewis
8/10

The sound design and composition of the soundtrack add a layer of complexity and richness to the storytelling, enhancing the overall cinematic experience and making the action sequences even more thrilling.

Timothy Walker
6/10

The soundtrack's ability to seamlessly blend electronic elements with traditional orchestral music adds a modern and gritty edge to the film's overall atmosphere. This fusion of sounds creates a unique sonic landscape that complements the dystopian setting of the story.

Anthony Rodriguez
1/10

The composition of the soundtrack did not effectively build tension or create a sense of urgency during crucial scenes, diminishing the impact of the characters' actions and decisions. I was left wanting more dynamic and engaging music to accompany the high-stakes narrative of the film.
